This is Bravehog. She appeared in our North Norfolk garden on 14 January looking for food and water in sub zero temperatures. Why she was wandering we will never know. She continues to visit every night, snarfling hog food, drinking fresh water and kipping in our hedgehog hotel. Bravehog is now in fine form. If only every hedgehog was as fortunate.
We are now in the dying days of my petition to the UK government https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/643081 Six months of hard graft has resulted in under 24,000 signatures. We need 100,000 for a parliamentary debate but, barring a miracle, my petition will close this Thursday 29 February 2024 far short.
I have tried to get folks who have signed this Change petition (where I have had an absolutely amazing level of support) to also sign this one https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/643081
and many people have done just that...thank you, pricklypals.
I have contacted wildlife world 'celebrities', organisations and charities including hedgehog rescues across the UK as well as the media and still I have failed to generate enough support.
My Change petition will roll on, I will continue to fight for hedgehogs and I will never accept defeat.
Thank you all for your support.
All the best,
Maggie
