My gratitude to all who have supported my petition. Please continue to share my petition with your friends and family. We need more signatures ! Also, we need people fo share their experiences of Re-KYC process with the banks. 
 
Banks like HDFC should only be permitted to “Know their customer” only within boundaries through the KYC process as going beyond that is violation of privacy! Instead they seek more personal  information from customers than necessary ! An example would be when a customer was asked whether the house she lives in is rented or owned. Nowhere is it written on the form that this information has to be shared . All the bank should concern itself with is document submitted as “proof of address”. Also, it’s absurd when a customer is automatically labeled as “housewife” if she selects “source of income” as “ interest from investments” on KYC form! Can’t a single woman’s source of income come from investments !? HDFC really needs to be professional in handling KYC process ! 

Banks should also be taught how to handle our KYC information securely !
