Cllr Damian White, leader of the Council, kindly took to Time 107.5 today. He answered a number of concerns about The Retailery, though presented some 'facts' that were rather different to those The Retailery have provided. It was pretty clear that the Council are intent on letting someone else take over The Retailery.

Either way, he asked us all a question. 

Would we be willing to pay more in our Council Taxes to support places like the Retailery?

A number of London Councils have introduced a voluntary Community Contribution Scheme, where residents can opt to pay a little more. Exactly for schemes like this. 

So, let's show Cllr White. If that really was the only option, would we?
