I have had my first Councillor response who justifies the ban on the basis of health and safety. An incident where a local resident was thrown from her horse and emergency vehicles couldn't get access prompted this action apparently. I was there that day and I remember the chaos. However, a ban on overnight parking would've made no difference. What would've done is proper enforcement of parking which is what we expect the council to do with the fees they charge.
