If you have kept up with the whirlwind of news on the BREXIT nonsense you are a better person than I. All that time and money spent on negotiations to get what? Essentially a Britain getting all the advantages of the EU but not being involved in discussing any new ones or change for the future. Sorry Theresa May, Boris, Nigel and your lies on the red bus below..... it wont happen! Trade negotiations will take decades...they took decades to set up and now the UK sees it wants to stay with them. When will all this stupidity end and the UK get back to being a partner with 27 countries, and work on its own social programmes, NHS, income distribution, job creation and sensible issues. I hope soon. The FT reports this morning that 'Some of the City’s most influential bankers say that they would halt or even reverse moves out of London if there was an eleventh-hour deal to keep the UK in the single market, in a significant departure from previous warnings of an imminent “point of no return”. ' Yet the FT continues: 'The prospect of continued single market access is seen as remote but possible after the UK last week promised to maintain “full alignment” with the EU internal market’s rules if it cannot settle the terms of its future relationship with the bloc after the Brexit divorce.'
