Today in the United States (and Hiroshima Japan) we remember and reflect on the life of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The stock markets are closed and government offices and many companies are as well. There won't be much news about Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast today.
Over SIXTEEN THOUSAND people have signed this petition. It is currently the 8th most active petition on change.org. Your voices MATTER.
Over the weekend I have been in contact with a lot of parties who are working hard to make Hasbro & Wizards of the Coast understand that they must make an announcement that they will never attempt to deauthorize or revoke v1.0a of the OGL. There's an enormous network forming - large investors, activists, the publishing community and the larger world community of people who gain the benefits of the OGL v1.0a.
When Hasbro returns to work tomorrow they will be walking into a maelstrom. In Renton, Washington where Wizards of the Coast is based, I know from personal experience that there are going to be tough meetings where the chaos and disruption they've caused will be at the top of the agenda.
Please keep circulating this petition, keep posting on social media (especially Twitter, which has captured the attention of the press - the Guardian, CNBC, and other major media outlets with a reach far beyond the tabletop gaming sphere have started to report on this issue!
Hasbro needs to clearly understand that they're going to continue to bleed until they do the right thing. Make the announcement that they cannot and will not deauthorize or revoke the OGL v1.0a NOW!
