Over the years, Hasbro has made action figures based on the Spider-Man super-villain Doctor Octopus, also known by his nickname Doc Ock, for their various "Marvel Legends" toylines.  Figures have been made based on Doctor Octopus's classic green-and-yellow costume, his uniform from the 1994 "Spider-Man" animated series and of actor Alfred Molina's version of Doc Ock from the 2004 film 'Spider-Man 2'.  However, one action figure of Doctor Octopus that Hasbro has yet to make is of Doc Ock in his white Armani suit.  This look has Doc Ock wearing a white Armani suit with a black shirt and white necktie, a look that was Doctor Octopus's primary outfit for his appearances in the early 1990s before the character was temporarily killed off in 1995.  When Doctor Octopus was resurrected in 1997, the white Armani suit was dropped, though it has been reused in later Spider-Man storylines in recent years, such as the "Beyond" storyline.

Artist Erik Larsen used the white Armani suit look for Doctor Octopus in two storylines from the early 1990s, "The Return of the Sinister Six" for "The Amazing Spider-Man" comic book series and "Revenge of the Sinister Six" in the "Spider-Man" comic book series (later renamed "Peter Parker: Spider-Man" with its 75th issue).  In the former storyline, Doctor Octopus recruited the Hobgoblin to fill in for the villain Kraven the Hunter as its new sixth member and, in the latter storyline, Doc Ock replaced the Sandman with the villain Gog and he fought Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, the Fantastic Four and other heroes.  In the storyline "Web of Death", artist Mark Bagley had Doctor Octopus wear the white Armani suit in "The Amazing Spider-Man" comic books while he was trying to cure Spider-Man of a deadly virus (though the suit would be colored in brown with a white shirt and blue neck tie when artist Sal Buscema drew it in parts two and four of "Web of Death" in "The Spectacular Spider-Man" comic book series).  The white Armani outfit for Doc Ock has also been featured in various media, such as Fleer's "Spider-Man" trading card series from artist Mark Bagley in 1994, and for a few video games, including the Sega Genesis video game "Spider-Man vs. the Kingpin" and the PC game "Spider-Man: The Sinister Six".  Doctor Octopus even wore the white Armani suit during Universal Studios Florida's live-action "Islands of Adventure" television commercial.  However, there has yet to be a "Marvel Legends" figure made of Doc Ock in his Armani suit.

We, the fans, would like to see a brand new, sold-separately action figure made of Doctor Octopus in his white Armani suit for the Marvel Legends toyline, on a brand new body mold, with new alternate heads and hands, and bendable wire tentacles accessories included, so that fans can finally add this version of Doc Ock to their collections.
