In 2024, Hasbro released a set of six figures for their "Marvel Legends" toyline based on the 12-issue comic book series "Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars".  The "Secret Wars" toyline was released in honor of the comic series' 40th anniversary and originally had three waves of action figures released by Mattel in 1984.  In 2024, Hasbro's "Secret Wars" 40th anniversary wave consisted of six new toys for the Beyonder, Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man in his alien costume, Titania, and Wolverine, respectively.  The first set of figures was so successful for Hasbro that a sold-separately figure for Iceman went up for sale in 2025 and a second wave of figures will be released in 2026.  The second wave consists of six new toys for the Absorbing Man, Constrictor, Daredevil, the Falcon, Magik and Spider-Man in mid-transformation into his alien costume, respectively.

However, one character that fans were hoping Hasbro would make into a new figure is a new classic figure of The Mighty Thor.  Introduced in August 1962, The Mighty Thor is a founding member of the team The Avengers and is one of Marvel's most iconic heroes from the Silver Age of the comics.  However, Thor has not had a new figure made in his classic comic book costume since the "Marvel Legends 80th Anniversary" figures in 2019.  The figure needs an updated body mold, new alternate heads, and new accessories, such as an accessory of his hammer Mjolnir and an accessory of Mjolnir spinning like the Ragnarok figure had.

We, the fans, hope that Hasbro decides to make a new "Marvel Legends Series Secret Wars" figure of Thor for either a possible third wave of "Secret Wars" figure or as a sold-separately figure like Iceman was for fans and collectors to buy.  It would be a great way for old collectors to have a second chance at buying a new classic Thor figure and for new collectors to add a new Thor figure to their collection.
