A significant objection to the brownfield option for the Sports Hall when raised by attendees at the SPD consultation was that it would leave the school and its external users without a sports centre during the construction period. Dozens of other Schools and Councils have faced this and a quick search shows that there are loads of excellent options available to address this point. The Campaign For the Protection of Rural England (CPRE) – London stated to us that temporary inconvenience was no justification for the permanent impact on the MOL. The School has had excellent stewardship of the open spaces over many years; please do let this continue as 1,100 people have expressed their real concerns.
