Petition updateSAVE OUR METROPOLITAN OPEN LAND AND BEAUTIFUL VIEWS FROM LONDON'S CAPITAL RING FOOTPATHThe Visual Impact Assessment has been Discredited

In a picture which we posted as our first petition update, the ‘closer view’ of the buildings presents them no larger than in the ‘longer view’. In addition there are further unrepresentative views being presented to Councillors and the Public. The view from the Capital Ring should not just be from a single point on the Watford Rd, about half a mile away. The historic ridge line would be broken by the proposed sports building when viewed from footpath 57. The entire aspect of the sports hall is out of keeping with the soft Conservation Area and Area of Special Character. Despite the Assessment showing instantly mature trees being placed in a view from the North East, the view from the East cannot be treated in that fashion due to the desire to have the conference suite overlooking the athletics track, (for the total of 6 days of home meets that were in the School calendar for 2015/6). Please do remember to go to www.harrow.gov.uk click on planning search and input P/1940/16 and click on 'make comment' to object to this particular scheme. Thank you.
