The proposed basement development (HGY/2015/0078) and its associated Construction Management Plan for 3 Francis Place are in direct contravention of the Covenant on the property dated 1993 that prohibits vehicular access of any kind, or any activities that could disrupt peaceful enjoyment of the walk. It also prohibits excavation work and removal of soil etc. This Covenant was specifically designed to protect the Local Nature Reserve and its users from this kind of damaging activity and envisages no circumstances that would allow it to be set aside. This development is in the interest of a single property owner and provides no benefit to the community. We the undersigned call on Haringey Council to be mindful of its environmental responsibilities and to reject this application.
