Thank you for your ongoing support of our campaign to see CKE Restaurants (Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr.) adopt an animal welfare policy to address the egregious animal abuse in its chicken supply chain. Lately, we’ve been urging investors of CKE’s major shareholder, Roark Capital, to divest from Roark and send a clear message that animal cruelty will not be tolerated! The University of Michigan, and William and Mary, are among those that currently invest in Roark Capital. By continuing to invest in Roark, the University of Michigan and William and Mary are profiting from animal cruelty no university should support.
