Hands Off NoDa's Street Vendors

The Issue

NoDa's street vendors, who bring vibrancy and dynamism to the neighborhood, are the targets of an organized campaign to ban them from the community.

A small group of business owners is asking Charlotte City Council to run off NoDa's street vendors. The vendors now face displacement through needless fees, burdensome regulations, civil fines, and even criminalization.

But NoDa's street vendors are not criminals. They are artists and craftsmen. They are entrepreneurs and small business people. They are our neighbors, and they make NoDa a better place. If they are banned from the neighborhood, they will suffer, and Charlotte will be poorer for it.

Please help keep NoDa the thriving, unique place that it is and ask City Council to keep its hands off of NoDa's street vendors.
