(Commemorating 38 Years Since the Betrayal of Africa’s Brightest Son)

October 15, 2025 – Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

Across the African continent and beyond, the name Thomas Sankara echoes once again—not merely as a memory, but as a movement reborn.

The Betrayal and the Legacy

On this day, 38 years ago, Africa was betrayed in one of the cruelest ways imaginable.

A visionary was silenced—not by fate, but by those who traded conscience for comfort, and revolution for foreign favour.

The world mourned, but his spirit was not buried—it merely took root.

The Continuation: Ibrahim Traoré and the Sankarist Renaissance

Today, Captain Ibrahim Traoré carries that same torch with unflinching resolve. His leadership has rekindled a revolutionary consciousness that Africa has not felt in decades. From defying Western pressure to forging new alliances with Russia, Mali, and Niger, Traoré has declared that Burkina Faso will never again be a colony in disguise.

The HandsOff African Sovereignty Movement has emerged globally as a living extension of that Sankarist spirit. It is not about one man or one nation—it is a united front against neo-colonial exploitation, financial slavery, and cultural manipulation.

A Statue for a Prophet, A Warning for Betrayers

On 17 May 2025, Burkina Faso unveiled a towering bronze statue of Thomas Sankara in Ouagadougou, attended by President Traoré, Sankara’s family, and thousands of citizens. The statue stands as both a tribute and a warning—an eternal reminder that Africa does not forget its heroes, nor forgive its betrayers.

Where traitors sought to erase his image, the people carved it into stone.

The Global Awakening: Sankara in the Hearts of the Youth

From Dakar to Dar es Salaam, from Accra to Johannesburg, Sankara’s words are returning to life.

Young Africans quote him not as history, but as prophecy. His vision of self-reliance, environmental care, and women’s emancipation is guiding a generation seeking independence beyond the political—into the spiritual, economic, and cultural.

A Call to Action – Hands Off African Sovereignty

Sankara once said, “While revolutionaries as individuals can be murdered, you cannot kill ideas.”

Today, his ideas are marching again—through the voices of millions calling for African unity and dignity.

The HandsOff African Sovereignty Petition demands that global powers respect the independence, choices, and dignity of African nations. It is not a cry of defiance—it is a declaration of rebirth.

“On this day, 38 years ago, Africa was betrayed in the most cruelest ways. They can only postpone the inevitable. Thomas Sankara was the soul of the entire planet, he was proof that if a man's purpose is set, not even death will defeat the mission. Ibrahim Traoré is living proof that Thomas Sankara lives in each and every one of us who remembers.”
