The last two Hamilton Planning Board meetings regarding the development of 133 Essex moved in a positive direction for SCT&W! October 11th, the Senior Housing and Stormwater Management Special Permits vote was five opposed- two in favor. October 19th, SCT&W received the final, signed decision by the Hamilton Planning Board with the member’s revised findings. A final vote was taken on those documents presented again and…THE VOTE WAS UNANIMOUS --- 7-0! The decision to grant permits to the developer, Chebacco Hill Capital Partners, LLC for both the Senior Housing and the Stormwater Management, was DENIED.
This ramification was a joyous result for the many months we ALL have worked to save 133 Essex from development. The Planning Board members deliberated for almost two years. Their final vote came with lengthy consideration, deep research and expert knowledge.

However, know this is not over. Yes, the vote is in. The outcome was remarkable. Yet, this effort to save 133 Essex is not done!. Chebacco Hill Capital Partners, LLC could still appeal the Planning Board decision. They have twenty (20) days to act. We will keep you informed.
Meantime, this property is STILL for sale! So PLEASE, keep your SCT&W signs out, continue to spread the news and know the work we all have done is paying off.
Our thanks and gratitude are endless. We acknowledge all of you who care and continue to help secure this land for generations to come.
Thank YOU!
