Halt Unknown Substance Attacks in Northants Now!

The Issue

I am a resident of Wellingborough, and a victim of an unknown liquid substance attack. The horrifying experience left me with both physical and emotional scars, worsening my pre-existing mental health conditions and magnifying my anxiety to unimaginable levels. My urgent appeal today is not just for myself, but for the countless others who share similar stories in our county. This is not just a Wellingborough issue now, it has spread to Corby, and Kettering. None of us our safe whilst this continues to happen.

In fact, these sort of attacks have become disturbingly common across the UK, with the number of reported attacks nearly doubling from 2012 to 2016 (BBC News). Wellingborough, our home, is not immune to this brutal crime.

These incidents are not just statistics - behind every number rests a life irrevocably altered. The impact is vast, leaving victims physically maimed, socially ostracized, and psychologically scarred. Our town’s authorities must act swiftly to stem the tide of these horrific attacks to uphold our basic human right to personal safety.

We demand immediate and effective action from our local authorities to increase surveillance, improve victim support, and rigorously enforce harsh penalties for perpetrators. We urge them to listen to our calls for help, acknowledge the growing issue in our community, and prioritize the safety of its residents.

Please, lend your voice to our cause as we fight to end this blight in our county. Sign this petition and stand with us in our quest for a safer home.
