Halt Ticketmaster's Unregulated Resale of Tickets at Excessive Prices

The Issue

I've watched my favorite artists' live shows from my screen for the past 3 years as I could barely afford tickets due to their ridiculously inflated reselling prices. What burns even more is seeing those unfamiliar with the artist's work attending for free via PR, while dedicated fans like me are sidelined. This has to change.

Ticketmaster, a renowned ticket sales and distribution giant, has been enabling individuals and bots to resell tickets at prices up to 200 times higher than their face value price. This isn't just about me — this is about TRUE fans being priced out of experiences that mean the world to them, while fair-weather followers get a free ride. It's about ensuring that price gauging doesn't stand in the way of genuine music appreciation.

This exploitation is made possible due to lax resale regulations that put fans' interests last. There is an urgent need to tighten control and introduce fair reselling rates so that more music/niche-community enthusiasts can rightfully attend musical or niche events at a reasonable cost.

The time has come for Ticketmaster to take responsibility and adjust their policies to better protect fans, providing us the opportunity to enjoy our favorite artists' live performances without being financially exploited. Along with the fees and services, this tax should NOT be the equivalent of buying another ticket! It is ABSURD. Lets also not forget about the multiple data breaches and lost tickets that have affected ticket buyers across the US.

Join us in urging Ticketmaster to end this injustice and reform their ticket reselling policies. The language of music is universal, let's not let it be hijacked by exorbitant prices. Sign this petition.

And Swifties, we ride at dawn.
