Halt the Purchase and Usage of Fast Passes at Dollywood

Halt the Purchase and Usage of Fast Passes at Dollywood
The Issue
My friends and fellow advocates for genuine enjoyment in theme parks, I come before you with an issue that has been personally troubling to me. Dollywood's fast pass system is gravely unfair and unnecessary. A theme park visit should embody the principle of equality, where everyone waits their turn and experiences the magic equally.
However, the fast pass system at Dollywood obstructs this principle. It creates a divide between those who can afford an expedited experience and those who cannot. This shift is an unjust paradox, which transforms an outing intended for exhilaration into a stressful, frustrating, and discriminatory ordeal.
Statistic reports indicate that in 2018, the average wait time per ride in U.S theme parks was around 30 to 90 minutes, while fast-pass holders trimmed this down to a negligible 15 minutes (source: Market Watch). But shouldn’t park visiting be about fun for everyone, regardless of their ability to afford extra privileges?
The ubiquity and acceptance of the fast pass system is eroding the basic enjoyment and fairness people once found in our parks. Removing fast passes from Dollywood would be a step towards restoring a truly equitable and enjoyable experience for every visitor.
Not only is this fast-pass trend absurd, but it is unnecessary. The success and enjoyment of theme parks do not hinge on the existence of fast passes – we’ve enjoyed these parks without them for decades! Please sign our petition to halt the purchase and usage of fast passes at Dollywood, and help reestablish fairness in our amusement experiences.
