I live in Franklin Township and deeply care about our community and environment. The proposed data center will be at I-74/ Post rd just north of the Marathon gas station on 465 acres of land.   Indiana has the leanest tax laws on new data centers with taxes being able to be exempt for up to 50 yrs.  This community might not see any taxable income on energy usage, equipment, and generators for 50 years!!  



I completely understand one day the land will be developed but I hope it will be used for good that benefits the community. There are alternative, more responsible ways to utilize the land in a manner that is in harmony with Franklin Township's charm and environmentally conscious ethos. We must ensure that our voices are heard, and our concerns are taken into account. Sign our petition to halt the proposed data center land development in Franklin Township and demand responsible development options that are in sync with our needs and values.

We are not just neighbors complaining about something being built behind us, we are neighbors, friends, and family concerned about our lives.

Data centers have a terrible impact to all of us 

-Impacts to our environment

-Minimal job creation (possibly only 100 jobs)

-Health concerns due multiple factors

-Massive tax breaks

-Last major area of the township to be develop

-No waste water disposal from cooling

-No transparency from developers.

-Concerns for our drinking water

-Current area flooding impacts

-Up to 10 years of construction

-Constant Noise
