As a cherished communal space, Norman Park in Bromley/Hayes is the beating heart of our community. Thousands of local residents flock to this park each year. Our local park run, athletics track, and numerous football teams all call this park home. A proposal to introduce parking charges threatens the very essence of why this park is so integral to us.

We strongly believe that introducing parking fees will result in people resorting to parking on public roads in the surrounding area. Notably, these roads are already bustling with traffic as they serve as major bus routes. Moreover, the proposed charges will put undue pressure on local residents and could potentially hamper the park's accessibility to those for whom it is a vital source of enjoyment and wellbeing.

Now more than ever, access to public spaces like Norman Park is incredibly important. It is not just a park but a lifeline for many in the community, from fitness enthusiasts to families who relish its beauty and serenity.
