Halt the Hostilities in Ukraine

The Issue

I pen this petition due to a heart-wrenching reality: every day, countless Ukrainians are losing their lives, and thousands of children are being forcefully displaced from their homes. This current state of turmoil is attributed to the military aggression from external forces that seek to erase Ukraine's distinct identity.

As of February 2022, the United Nations reports that over 13,000 people have been killed and more than 1.5 million Ukrainians displaced since the commencement of hostilities in 2014. This strongly reinforces the urgency of this matter. Our utmost concern is the mounting human toll and the weakening outlook for many surviving Ukrainians who are forced to wake up each day in a situation that doesn't feel like home.

This is not just about a geopolitical power struggle, but a issue affecting regular Ukrainians all too deeply. Their lives, and our shared humanity, hang in the balance. Thus, we must bring widespread attention to this tragic situation, ensuring that every voice that cries out for peace and autonomy is heard.

We call upon international leaders and relevant institutions across the globe to intensify their efforts to halt these hostilities. We implore them to recognize the impact their words and actions can have on the dire situation in Ukraine, to preserve the rights of innocent civilians, and to act swiftly and justly in upholding international peace and security.

By signing this petition, you are standing alongside the millions of Ukrainians affected by this ongoing conflict, affirming their right to peace and autonomy. Sign and join the movement pushing for the cessation of violence in Ukraine.
