Renowned actress Claudia Karvan has been campaigning with us since just after the fires of 19/20.

She was at Manyana and saw the terrible effects of these fires on the community and our flora and fauna.  She also understands that our ecosystems are in dire trouble.

Everyone accepts that the destruction of this precious ecosystem and rainforest community is wrong on every level. We urge Minister Tanya Plibersek to look at the evidence of how special and rare this place is as a whole and on an individual species level, and the failures that have occurred to protect this place along its journey to her office. We also ask that she grants a period to allow for public comment on her decision.

The Department has extended the decision timeframe, and we now expect a preliminary decision this week. As soon as we hear, I will let you all know. In the meantime, it is as important as ever to send an email to Manyana’s federal representative Fiona Phillips MP  and tell her why you know this endangered ecosystem needs saving. It does matter. It only needs to be a sentence or two.
