Hello everyone,
As many of you are aware, Brampton City Hall is once again attempting to implement the Residential Rental Licensing (RRL) program in our city. This initiative has sparked concerns among Brampton residents, as our elected leaders seem to be prioritizing this agenda over addressing the pressing issues affecting our community, such as the rise in crime, auto theft, the need to streamline the Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB), and the lack of affordable housing options.
I urge all members of this group to mark March 20th on your calendars as a day to join us in protesting against the RRL. We plan to make our voices heard through a delegation at the City Hall in the Committee of Council, followed by a peaceful protest for the remainder of the day.
If you are interested in speaking at City Hall for 5 minutes during the delegation, please fill out the form and send it to the city clerk. DELEGATION FORM LINK
Your input is crucial in demonstrating the widespread opposition to the RRL in Brampton.
For those who prefer not to speak at City Hall, your support is equally important. Please join us in the protest, as you did last time, to show solidarity against the RRL.
Our goal is to have 1000+ people present at City Hall on March 20th. Together, we can send a strong message to our elected officials that the RRL is not in the best interest of Brampton residents.
Please plan to stay for the entire protest this time. Let's show our commitment and energy to this cause, as it is crucial to bringing about change. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
Thank you all for standing together in this important endeavor.
