The moratorium on new development was inexplicably tabled at the July 9th Board of Trustees meeting. At the July 30th meeting, despite a large showing of support by members of the community, the moratorium was still not voted into law.
Tonight - FOUR applications for NEW two-family homes are are the agenda for the Public Planning Board Hearing. If the moratorium had been implemented as promised months ago, these applications would be denied. WHY HAS THE MORATORIUM BEEN DELAYED???
Call to action: Go to the public meeting tonight. Tuesday 8/5 at 6:30pm - Adult Activities Center – 80 Manorhaven Blvd.
You DO have a say in what happens in your town. Overcrowding happens little by little as well as when big developers take over. We have to pay attention to everything. Hold your representatives accountable!
