Like many Fremont County property owners, I find the recent developments alarming and unprecedented. We were assured that no changes would be made to the development code until the comprehensive plan was updated. However, our trust has been breached as changes are being instigated without waiting for the plan's renewal.

Fremont County needs to reaffirm its commitment to its residents by halting all alterations to the development code. Not until the comprehensive plan has been updated by an independent third party, involving local community members, should revisions recommence.
