Unfinished Halfway Dommasandra flyover construction on hold causing terrible traffic
The issue
To CM/Dy CM/Transportation Minister/BMRDA/STRR Presidnet
Dear Sir/Madam,
We, the concerned residents of Sarjapura, wish to draw your attention to a series of pressing issues that are affecting our community's quality of life.
These problems not only impact our daily routines but also pose safety risks to our residents. We kindly request your immediate intervention to address these critical concerns:
1. Unfinished Dommasandra Flyover:
The incomplete Dommasandra flyover has become a bottleneck, causing prolonged traffic jams and inconvenience to residents and commuters especially during school timing peak hours which is causing delays to school-going kids and commuters with unpredictable deadlock jams. We urge prompt action to complete this essential infrastructure project.
Required action: Onhold flyover construction to be resumed and expedited to complete to ease traffic jams with the intention of starting the flyover
2. Poor Road Infrastructure and Potholes:
The state of our Sarjapura road infrastructure in Sarjapura is deplorable especially dommasandra circle with onhold halfwat flyover constrcution, with numerous potholes posing a severe hazard to commuters. These road conditions not only damage vehicles but also compromise the safety of pedestrians and two-wheeler riders.
3. Absence of Speed Breakers at Major Junctions:
Many major junctions within Sarjapura lack essential speed breakers, making them accident-prone areas. Installing speed breakers would help regulate traffic speeds and enhance safety for all road users.
4. Inadequate Street Lighting:
Sarjapura is in dire need of improved street lighting. The absence of adequate lighting in many areas poses security risks and hinders safe nighttime mobility for our residents.
5. Traffic Congestion and Lack of Proper Traffic Control:
The absence of efficient traffic control mechanisms leads to chronic traffic congestion, especially during peak hours. This situation not only wastes valuable time for commuters but also increases the risk of accidents.
We, the undersigned, believe that addressing these issues is essential to improving the overall quality of life in Sarjapura. We kindly request that you take immediate steps to rectify these concerns by:
• Initiating road repair and maintenance projects to fix potholes and improve the condition of our roads.
• Installing speed breakers at key junctions to enhance road safety.
• Implementing a comprehensive street lighting plan to ensure well-lit streets for our community.
• Enhancing traffic management and control measures to alleviate congestion.
• Prioritizing the completion of the Dommasandra bridge project to ease traffic flow.
We hope that you will consider our petition and work collaboratively with the community to address these critical issues promptly. Your support and action in these matters will undoubtedly contribute to the well-being and safety of Sarjapura residents.
Thank you for your attention to these pressing concerns.
Sincerely,
Sarjapura Residents
