In times like this standing together is what really counts. My son, Chace is being held on No Bond at the Gwinnett County Detention Center for a crime he did not commit. Chace has no prior criminal history, no prior arrest and has never been in any trouble before. Chace has always been a positive role model to others in his community. Chace was arrested back on October 21st, 2020 and is now being held at the jail on No Bond. It has come to a surprise and a blow to my family and the community that Chace has not been granted a bond by the Judges in Gwinnett County. Chace does not pose as any flight risk nor any threat or danger to his community. In fact, many character letters were written to the Judges expressing the concern to grant a bond for Chace. The State of Georgia district attorney's office has not proven or provided burden of proof that Chace does not met the criteria for a Bond. Given the fact Chace has never been in any trouble before we find it very hard to understand the ruling to have Chace remain in custody at the jail on no bond.
