The Gwinnett Board of Elections rescinded their policy against offering municipal election services. However, there is more work to do to improve the voting experience in Gwinnett County.

The next step is to petition the Gwinnett Board of Commissioners to direct the county elections department to offer cities this option.

State law enables any Georgia municipality to authorize their county elections department to conduct municipal elections by simply passing an ordinance to that effect; and state law further stipulates that such municipality shall pay such county all costs incurred in performing those functions.

However, the Gwinnett County elections department is refusing to provide a cost estimate or even meet with cities interested in having the county manage their November 2025 municipal elections, even though there is already a county election scheduled for the exact same day (a election for the Public Service Commission).

Please sign a new petition calling on the Gwinnett Board of Commissioners to offer cities the option to combine their 2025 elections with the PSC election. The new petition is at https://chng.it/rLkG4gwYwy
