The young six-year-old elephant was living in shackles. We told you about her in 2016 and you took action, but we couldn't say more. As a young calf, Suman had already been through so much. She lived with an abusive circus, was used in a TV show, and then sold to a notoriously cruel owner in the city of Jaipur where she was hidden and isolated from her mother.
To protect Suman's safety and the safety of her family, we’ve been unable to give you any information about her status .... UNTIL NOW! We’re thrilled to make this announcement on World Elephant Day:
Suman is safe and with one of our close associates who is a supporter of Wildlife SOS, a well-wisher of elephants and cares about their welfare and protection.
To ensure Suman’s safety and security, we will not be able to disclose her location, however we will soon send you some delightful photos of Suman frolicking in a large forested area which is her home. Wildlife SOS will be involved in the care of Suman and whenever possible we shall post updates about her.

If you'd like to receive a text message with her photo and you're in the USA, text "SUMAN" to 797979.
Thank you! Your action made a big impact in the life of this little elephant!
