An exciting update for you! We joined forces with other petitions to protect the Galapagos Islands from fishing and this week our signatures were delivered to the Minister of Environment, Water and Ecological Transition in Ecuador!

WE ARE BEING HEARD!

On Monday July 12, the Minister of Environment, Water and Ecological Transition, Gustavo Manrique, met with us in Guayaquil. At that meeting, we were able to give him the petition signatures and talk about the case.

The Minister listened to us attentively and then responded by saying that he is on our side, that he considers himself our ally and that he will do what is in his power to solve the problem. THAT'S GREAT NEWS!

What is the next step? We are going to seek to have a delivery of signatures with the Foreign Ministry, so we still have to continue sharing the petition, so that it grows more in signatures and that the Foreign Ministry hears our voice!
