He clubbed them with a rock, killing nine innocent puppies in a brutal massacre, before throwing them into a bush. The abuse was disgusting. What makes it worse is this - Gumtree's weak animal advertisement policies that allowed this to happen still haven't been fixed.

Gumtree makes it too easy for animal abusers to get hold of poor unwanted pets - there’s reports of pets from the site to use for live baiting, dog fighting and dog's being dumped after being bought on a whim. It’s just wrong Gumtree facilitates animal abuse in this way.

The site doesn’t even limit pet sales to Gumtree account holders. Buyers are often anonymous and not traceable - I dread to think where some of these poor animals end up.

If Gumtree limited their sales to just approved animal shelters, this would put an immediate end to unwanted pets being passed on to animal abusers. The answer is so simple.

Right now there is nothing to stopping this cruel puppy killer from doing the same again. It is barbaric and must end.
