Petition updateNick Greiner must front the WestConnex Inquiry

"It's hard to imagine getting it more wrong"

John Austen was a former transport advisor for Infrastructure Australia. In this piece he calls for a public enquiry to explain transport infrastructure decisions made by successive NSW state governments, such as WestCONnex, the Metro Northwest and CBD and South East Light Rail projects. Austen claims that planners are ignorant of the basic principles of transport planning.

“It’s not like there are one or two projects we can criticise, it’s just like the whole understanding of transport and human development is way off beam,” he told The Fifth Estate. “It’s hard to imagine getting it more wrong.”

Are we honestly supposed to believe that the NSW government would get it that wrong accidentally? It beggars belief. There must be corruption behind it.

TAKE ACTION - So far the inquiry has not called forth anyone truly responsible for deciding WestCONnex was the no.1 priority. But there is still one more day of hearings on Nov 7 - a chance for Nick Greiner to explain himself. Please write a short email to the Inquiry Committee members below asking for them to call Greiner as a witness.
