Texas Governor Greg Abbott has continued to overreach and cause harm to the citizens of Texas. 

Currently 800K plus bar employees and countless bar owners continue to suffer with no end in sight. Greg Abbott stated that by closing bars we will see a decline in cases of Covid-19. Since the closure, cases have continued to rise. Bar goers simply relocated to open venues, aka restaurants. Additionally, several other establishments, that offer no real social distancing measures, continue to thrive.

Greg Abbott's continued discrimination has made a terrible and lasting impact for countless Texas entrepreneurs. They are now at risk of and are loosing everything that they've put their blood, sweat, and tears into building. In addition, their staff members are left unemployed.

Sadly, Abbott refuses to even acknowledge the displacement of these industry workers or provide any guidance on reopening dates. In the meantime, rent, taxes, licensing, vendors and utility providers are all still expecting payment. Abbott has done nothing to allow for any relief. It's clear, that in his mind, these citizens are expendable. He exploited this industry, and it's workers, as a means to show successful leadership in the fight against Covid-19. Now it has become abundantly apparent that this executive order is yeilding little to no results. Yet, Abbott continues to stand by and ignore the hundreds of thousands of cries from the displaced, unemployed, and bankrupted. 

A successful leader knows when it's time to course correct, even if that means showing that an action did not work. Abbott is the opposite. Abbott stands by his oppressive failures, blatantly mocks the ones he's displaced, and carries on with a smile on his face. 

This has to stop. This man is in no way the leader Texas needs.
