Happy Easter! It’s a beautiful day outside here.

As you may already know, the TSBDE is having a telephonic board meeting this Friday April 17th. From what I can see, Teledentistry is not on the agenda, however, they are allowing for public comments. These are the instructions I found on their site to register to speak, which it seems is separate from the general register for public access to the meeting. It seems they will choose who gets to speak, on what topic, and for a limited time. Personally, I think this would be a good opportunity for them to hear testimony especially from the TX dentists serving many emergencies that could utilize Teledentistry, TX dentists currently closed triaging a lot of patient calls, dentists who work with the vulnerable, nursing home facilities, or institutionalized populations, they have been unable to reach for which Teledentistry could greatly benefit, or even TX dentists who have past experience with using Teledentistry in other states and understand the necessity to increase access to care. If you have experience with participating in board meetings or input, please comment on discussion below. If that doesn’t work, message me on LinkedIn and I’ll post it here. Thank you!
