Greenlight the Predator WWII Movie — Let Dan Trachtenberg Make Predator vs. Nazis”

The Issue

I’ve been a fan of the Predator since I was a kid. My sister and I used to watch those movies growing up, completely captivated by the mix of action, fear, and mystery. We’d sit there wide-eyed watching Arnold cool his body down in mud to outsmart the creature, or Danny Glover earn the Predator clan’s respect in Predator 2. Those moments stuck with me — not just because of the thrill, but because they showed that even against something terrifying, there’s always intelligence, courage, and honor involved in the fight.

That’s what always set the Predator apart for me. Even though he was technically the villain, there was something deeper about him — a code of honor, a sense of respect for worthy opponents, and a discipline that made him more than just a monster. He represented strength with purpose. That’s something I’ve always resonated with personally.

Over the years, the Predator franchise has evolved beautifully. Prey and Killer(s) were incredible — they reminded fans that the Predator story thrives when it steps into new time periods and perspectives. Each era brings out something different in both the hunter and the humans — new struggles, new cultures, new meanings.

That’s why when I heard that director Dan Trachtenberg had once imagined a Predator movie set during World War II, where the Predator hunts Nazis, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It’s the perfect setup — one of the most honorable hunters in sci-fi history going up against one of the most dishonorable forces in human history. That’s not just cool, it’s poetic. It’s the Predator’s moral code meeting humanity’s darkest chapter.

This idea, often referred to as Predator: Badlands, deserves to see the light of day. Fans around the world have proven — through their love for Prey — that the franchise is stronger than ever when it tries bold new directions. A World War II story could be the next great evolution, giving us something that’s thrilling, meaningful, and deeply cinematic.

I’m calling on 20th Century Studios, Hulu, and Dan Trachtenberg to bring this vision to life — whether as a feature film, a limited series, or a special event. The idea has everything: historical weight, emotional depth, and that primal Predator energy fans love.

The Predator has always been more than a monster — he’s a reflection of honor, skill, and survival. Placing him in a world torn apart by war would challenge everything he stands for and remind us why this creature — and this franchise — continues to endure decades later.

Let’s bring back the honor. Let’s bring back the hunt. And let’s make the Predator WWII movie happen.

And for the record — I’ll definitely be seeing Badlands. I’ve supported this franchise for years, and I’ll keep showing up as long as they keep pushing the boundaries of what the Predator can be.
