BC Supreme Court Justice Briana Hardwick's ruling came down today that the SD61 Board did not have the authority to suspend two if its trustees, Diane McNally and Rob Paynter.
See articles by Times Colonist, Capital Daily, and CBC.
The judicial review of the case took place May 4-6th.and we have been waiting since then for the judge's ruling. As has the Ministry of Education, which has held off on its decision to approve the Lansdowne Middle School south campus land disposal.
The judge's ruling has a direct impact on the Lansdowne land disposal, as Diane McNally and Rob Paynter opposed the land sale. With their additional two votes, the land sale would not have passed.
PLEASE CONTACT THE MINISTER AND MAKE YOUR VOICES HEARD: The Minister cannot approve this illegitimate vote and land sale.
