After 3 months and writing 3 letter to the First Minister,she replied today. She wrote... "Thank you for your email of 24 October 2015, regarding Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow. I understand that the Cabinet Secretary for Health, Wellbeing and Sport has written to you and explained the process of naming the hospital. I appreciate the strength of feeling on this matter but as the Cabinet Secretary has already explained, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde decided on the hospital name. I hope you can therefore understand that the Scottish Government is not in a position to intervene in this matter and I would recommend that if you have any further concerns then these should be addressed to the Health Board. NICOLA STURGEON" So there you have it folks. The NHSGGC won't change the name and the Scottish Government won't intervene. Once again they ignored my 5 key questions. Thank you for signing and supporting the petition. If anything I think in the future they will think twice before naming publicly funded hospitals after undemocratic and unelected Head of States.
