Every year thousands of animals are neglected, abandoned and even killed thanks to amateur breeders using their pets to make some extra money. Adoption centres are struggling to cope with the pressure of rescuing and re-homing cats and dogs bred purely for monetary gain. I've started this petition thanks to an article in Grazia Magazine, highlighting the "money making benefits" of backyard breeding. The effect of this article is yet to be seen, but the other side of the story should be told to try and minimise any damage already done.
