Thank you so much for signing this petition. It might seem like a small drop in the ocean of this issue but I appreciate your support. We can't just leave it to the big organisations and think they'll take care of the campaigning and that will be enough. It takes all of us. I felt prompted to take action on this- I pray that each of you will also know when it's the right time to do something about the incidents that come across your paths. 

As Heidi St John says "Get off the bench and onto the battlefield!" It's long overdue, and urgent. I wish I'd had more courage and motivation to address things like this all my life so far. 

Regarding the complaint I made to the Press Council, I received a response this week saying that they will not be proceeding any further with my complaint. No reasons given except it is "unlikely a breach has occurred". A double page article celebrating deviant and sadistic sexual behaviours as 'fun' and 'harmless'... I guess there's no way that could cause any offence or distress, right? I wonder how many wide-eyed teens read it last weekend... :(

I have had no response to my emails to the journalist, editor or politicians. I am not sure if my Letter to the Editor has been published this weekend (I'm not buying the paper!) If anyone sees it please let me know. I'm sure they'll edit it severely anyway. 

I am not on Facebook so I can't share the petition anymore. If you would like to share it again we may get some more signatures. No obligation to do so, I don't want to pressure you. I am under no illusions that my little campaign won’t fizzle out and be forgotten very quickly. But once again I thank you for signing.
