I have just received news that case ref. CA-2022-001184 Green and others v The Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis and Another, has been selected for live-streaming.

All being well John and I will be present in the court and if traffic conditions are kind we may just arrive on time! We have a habit of getting to our London destination with as little as 30 minutes to spare.
I am hoping that the hearing will take place on the 29th as this will be the 35th anniversary of Col’s final shift, and I think this would be fitting.
Seasoned members of the team will know, that at the start of our campaign I deemed the 29th to be International Colin’s Day and from then on have asked team members (signatories to this petition and all that have taken part in our campaign) to join with our family in remembering Col on this anniversary, celebrating his life by giving him a wave and a cheery smile.
I had thought that 29th November 2021 was going to be the last opportunity for us to celebrate International Colin’s Day together.
Little did I know that NARPO’s legal team would have the opportunity to appeal should the Judicial Review 5th/6th of April 2022 be unsuccessful.
The appeal has been listed to be heard in the Royal Courts of Justice on the 29th or 30th November 2022 in a courtroom open to the public.
Col may no longer be here in person, but he will always live on in our hearts. I feel so privileged to have been part of his life and I think about him every day; rarely with tears - almost always with a smile.
He was my place of safety in the world and his smiling face the reassurance that all would be well.
I am certain that his spirit will be with us in court next week whichever date is chosen.
