Our dear friend, Ari Foster, has been incarcerated since June 2016 for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was falsely charged with seven felonies and one misdemeanor by the College Park Police Department, located in Fulton County. Despite these trumped-up charges, Ari was sentenced to 20 years in prison with a 10 year mandatory minimum sentence. As of today, Ari has served more than eight and a half years of his sentence without any disciplinary reports, yet he still has no parole date. Ari has touched the lives of many people, including mine. He's helped me through numerous life milestones and has consistently shown himself to be a person of good character and resilience. This systemic failure has not only affected Ari but has also had a significant impact on his friends, family, and wider community. It's time to correct this injustice. We urge the legal system to consider Ari's impeccable prison conduct, his unjust charges, and the positive influence he holds in his community.
