I am deeply concerned that Crosley is a “sitting duck” for the COVID 19 outbreak in Florida. While he is waiting (2years) for his new trial, he is sitting in prison at risk. COVID 19 seems to be most dangerous for individuals in older age groups, which he is. COVID loves group environments and lets be fair, prisons are not exactly set up well for social distancing. Finally, COVID seems statistically to hit harder and lead to death more for those in the black community. See my concern? It is imperative we show those in power that there is no good reason to keep Crosley incarcerated until his new trial when that waiting period is putting his life in danger. Can you imagine if Crosley ends up contracting COVID in prison and has his health permanently altered or dies, then they figure out later he was telling the truth all along and was totally innocent of this murder? I feel like this situation is set up horribly for him. Let’s keep the petition moving so when I finally find the correct powers, I can request them to consider releasing him until his new trial and show them just how many people believe in Crosley!
