Emmitt Wright turned himself in at the age of 17. He was implicated in a double homicide in 1997. The 17th Judicial court has the shooter in custody for a life sentence. My brother was given a life sentence as well (although he did not commit the crime he still received the same sentence. Emmitt has been incarcerated for 18 years. He has a 2 children whom he has attempted to keep a relationship with. out of almost 2 decades in some of Illinois worst Prison's (Stateville & Menard correctional center) Emmitt has never received any demerits/points during his 20 years incarceration, nor has he received any new charges. Emmitt was a first time offender and is  serving a life sentence for someone else's crime.

Emmitt has been an upstanding inmate who has educated himself through the programs offered and has help other inmates educated themselves. He now has a Masters Degree in Health. We have certificates, diplomas and his clemency plea. To review this information:
