Ariel Santos started this petition to Michigan State House

My name is Ariel, I'm the owner of Entourage Effect CBD store and Shaman Dreams Wellness cannabis brand in Grand Rapids Michigan. I'm writing to you today regarding legislation in Michigan that has recently been approved by the house - Bill 4517.

This bill is very harmful to the legal CBD hemp industry here in Michigan and nationwide. Today I plead for you to take action on behalf of the CBD industry. Please sign this petition reach out to the Governor’s executive office and help them understand why this amendment can’t be signed into law. Governor Whitmer - (517) 335-7858

All Hemp/CBD flowers that are currently farmed here in Michigan & the USA are federally legal with small amounts of THCA & other cannabinoids. These non-psychoactive hemp products will no longer be legal for hemp/CBD farmers or retailers to sell in Michigan with these amendments that seek to redefine the definition of marijuana.

The hemp industry and consumers alike depend on hemp farmers and retailers to provide high quality hemp flowers & full spectrum CBD products for their therapeutic potential. There are far too many families that have invested their lives, blood, sweat and tears into the hemp industry in Michigan.

By attempting to restrict non psychoactive hemp flower products & cannabinoids to licensed marijuana dispensaries in Michigan the state will be putting farmers and retailers out of business. The CBD hemp industry is already struggling due to the proliferation of marijuana  dispensaries.

The hemp industry has potential to bring the state similar tax revenue as dispensaries. Perhaps the state’s efforts should be in helping our hemp businesses flourish. Rather than attempting to sabotage them & claiming there’s more money for the state in regulatory fines. This further proliferates the police state of our nation!
