On October 7th, they received a letter from the Michigan DNR stating that their permit had been denied — and that within 30 days, the DNR intends to come to the property and kill any wild flightless birds under their care.

Michigan Duck Rescue is being taken to court. Please join us in peaceful protest to show your support and let the judge know that this rescue matters to Michigan residents.
What the DNR is doing is wrong — and the judge needs to see that the public stands with those who protect and care for our state’s wildlife.
Bring your own signs (extras may be available).
This court decision could determine the fate of the rescue, but many fear the outcome has already been predetermined, given the DNR’s letter.
We must stand together and show the DNR that Michigan residents are tired of cruelty and government overreach against those trying to help animals — not harm them.
