Please contact the Gun Plain Township Board of Trustees, email the Supervisor Michael Vandenberg - mvandenberg@gunplain.org,  tell the Board to rescind their Resolution giving the Lake Doster Homeowners Lake Board Association the right to kill swans on their lake for the next 5 years. They did NOT notify their members that they would killing this pair of swans or what day they would be killing them. They have no backup for why they killed the swans. The shooters shot from a moving boat in the direction of a man standing on his dock. The shooters ran over the first swan with their boat and shot 3 times before the swan went limp in the water. They shot three times at the second swan before he went limp in the water. DNR's  "humane" method of killing is a single shot to the head. They certainly did not follow this method.  Their next meeting is Tomorrow, July 11, 2024. The Township does not like that people from all over are contacting the, so please contact them.
