On January 1, 2019, Jefferson Davis Highway in Alexandria will be renamed Richmond Highway. This is a partial victory which you helped make happen but we are not done yet. This petition will have succeeded in its objective when either the entire length of Jefferson Davis Highway in Virginia is renamed or when the Virginia legislature enacts legislation giving localities permission to rename the portions of this roadway that exist within their respective borders.
