Postpone Exams scheduled on Easter Sunday '19

Postpone Exams scheduled on Easter Sunday '19
The Issue
POSTPONE EASTER SUNDAY ENTRANCE / SCREENING TESTS BY GOVERNMENT OF AP
The Indian Constitution through the 42nd Amendment Act, 1976 declared India as a secular state which means that everyone has a right to practice his or her religion peacefully. Right to freedom of religion as described in the Articles 25, 26, 27 and 28 of the Indian constitution guarantees the right to follow and practice one's faith.
The conduct of ENTRANCE / SCREENING tests like EAMCET, NDA, Panchayat Secretary by various bodies of the Government of Andhra Pradesh on 21/04/2019 ie., on EASTER SUNDAY is paramount to obstruction of practicing of one's religion and hurts their sentiments as -
- Christian Candidates appearing for the exam cannot go to Church for Easter Service and cannot practice their faith and exercise their religious customs of this day.
- Christian staff in Government Service are being ordered to work on that day and cannot practice their faith and exercise their religious customs of this day.
- Christian Institutions are being asked to give their premises for the conduct of exam.
Hence, the Government of Andhra Pradesh MUST IMMEDIATELY POSTPONE these exams and safeguard the interests of the Minorities and adhere to the safeguards provided to every citizen by the Constitution of India.
