We the undersigned, demand that Governor Brown activate the Oregon National Guard to Portland, OR, to protect Portland residents and protesters’ right to free speech and assembly.

We the undersigned, also demand the Portland Police Bureau immediately cease all coordination with Federal officers currently deployed in Portland. 

The Federal Officers, ordered by President Trump have not been invited to Oregon and are using unmarked vehicles, unmarked identification on their uniforms, and are verbally not identifying themselves to people that they unlawfully and unconstitutionally arrest. 

We ask you to activate the Oregon National Guard to protect the lawful protesters in Portland.  There have been the “Wall of Moms” made up of a large group of mothers currently protecting the protesters and being tear gassed for their service.  

We the undersigned, do not believe the “Wall of Moms” or any other citizens should have to put their lives on the line to protect their right to free speech and free assembly.  The National Guard are trained to do so and we ask that they be activated to protect the citizens of the state of Oregon.
