Thank you all for all of your support; we have reached over 1,100 signatures! I emailed Governor Carney and Attorney General Kathy Jennings regarding this petition yesterday, but have yet to receive a response; if I do not receive a response by Monday, I will see if I can call them or their offices to make them aware of the petition and exactly how many people are demanding their action to serve justice for AJ Stacey. In the meantime, please keep sharing so others can sign; the more of us there are seeking justice for this precious baby boy, the harder it is for us to be ignored, and the more likely it is for us to be heard. I would like to correct a typo I had in the petition; AJ Stacey was 7 months when Deja Armstrong abused him, not 3 months. I did not notice this typo until this morning, but have since corrected it. I apologize for having made that mistake. 

I have gathered another detail regarding AJ Stacey’s abuse from a Facebook page created by his paternal grandmother that is dedicated to his support, anguish of his abuse, and seeking justice. Titled “Diary of an Angry Grandma,” it is on this page that the grandmother further explains what she believes led Deja Armstrong to abuse AJ Stacey so horrifically. Deja Armstrong and AJ Stacey’s father, Adam Stacey, had been arguing; after the argument, Deja Armstrong shook him violently or attempted to suffocate him. Therefore, based upon this account, AJ Stacey’s abuse was not due to Deja Armstrong’s struggles with postpartum depression; his abuse was likely an intentional atrocious and horrendous act of retaliation against Adam Stacey. 

For those of you who do not follow the page and want more details regarding AJ Stacey, his abuse, his life after his abuse, and his death from an actual family member and caretaker of his, I have attached the link to the Facebook page that is authored by his paternal grandmother. She needs your support in this difficult and dark time, as so does Adam Stacey and their entire family. 

Edit: AJ Stacey’s broken ribs occurred weeks prior to the abuse that caused him to be placed on life support. It is merely surmised that the suffocation/shaken baby syndrome abuse was enacted as a retaliation against Adam Stacey, since Deja Armstrong has never said what she did to her son or why.
